How To Date Online: Best Dating Strategies

Plenty of dating sites have been growing in popularity for the last decade. Online dating websites are simply a better way, especially for busy people that don't have a lot of time to get out and meet people. But how do you get started? And what should your dating strategy be to find lasting love? I'll get into all of that soon...

But first let me qualify. I found true love with online dating sites and I just recently got married! It only took a few months and a half dozen dates to find Mr. Right for me. My hairdresser found her life partner on a free dating website and they've been together for nearly a decade! Our web designer also met his wife on a free online dating site and they just celebrated their 2 year anniversary a couple months ago!

Dating sites are convenient, practical, and get real results. What makes them even better is that there are plenty of online dating sites that are frugal or free of charge! If the dating website is free, then there is no risk and it's all upside! Online dating sites have worked for me and several close friends, and free dating sites will work for you too!

So how do you get started and what should your dating strategy be? Here's how to get started and find a real relationship online:

Find A Free Dating Site Or Christian Dating Website

There are free dating websites for nearly every type of person these days. They could be based on location, age, ethnicity, religion, parental status, common interests, or several other factors. And some dating websites are better than others, so it might take some trial and error. An excellent example of a free dating website is WeLoveDates and a variety of Christian dating sites.

Set Up That Profile

Once you find the right niche dating website, it's time to sign up for free! Make sure to complete your profile including answering all questions you feel comfortable answering, answering questions, and filling out all fields honestly. Filling out all the field shows others looking at your dating profile that you are invested in the process and serious about finding someone. Put some thought into your answers. Be honest about who you are and who you're looking for!

Be Proactive But Also Patient & Persistent

Sitting around waiting for Mr or Mrs Right to message you isn't usually the best way to go. You need to be proactive and check out profiles, start conversations, and getting some dates scheduled in your calendar. Message that cute guy or girl, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

You might not get the responses or dates scheduled that you're looking for, but be patient! Persistence pays off.

Date Like You Mean It

Take your date on some fun and unique dating experiences beyond the basic bar, restaurant, or movie. Don't just go for the lazy "Netflix and Chill" routine. Visit a breathtaking local vineyard or popular new brewery, play some mini golf, take a cooking lesson, trip to the spa, head to a baseball game, get to a church event, or go to a couples paint night.

But most importantly be respectful, be punctual, and be honest. If things aren't going well then don't ghost them, be clear but courteous about telling them it isn't working out and that you both should see other people. There are plenty of fish in the sea and you should both move on to increase your chances of finding "The One" sooner rather than later. That person is out there waiting to connect with you! Date like a good Christian!

Be Yourself

You should never pretend to be someone you're not. Don't try to look or act different to try and attract a mate, be you! Always be yourself.

Now that you know how to date online you can stop hitting on strangers at the local bars or the gym! If you're looking for a real relationship that will stand the test of time then we recommend trying out amazing free dating websites like WeLoveDates.
